What Is RootsTech?
RootsTech believes in the power of connecting family and finding belonging. RootsTech is presented by FamilySearch International. It is the goal of FamilySearch to help everyone discover, gather and connect families past, present and future. RootsTech is a 4-day event held annually in Salt Lake City, Utah, dedicated to celebrating family, discovering family histories, and connecting the living to their ancestors and each other. RootsTech 2026 will take place March 5–7, 2026, in Salt Lake City, with a free online component available to participants around the world. This premier family history event features inspiring keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, and an expansive expo hall showcasing the latest genealogical tools and services.
